Past Continuous Tense - English Grammar & Tense

Past Continuous Tense – में भूतकाल में कार्य का जारी रहना प्रकट होता है | कार्य कब प्रारम्भ हुआ एवं कब समाप्त हुआ था यह पता नही चलता | इस Tense के हिंदी वाक्यों के अंत में रहा था, रहे थे, रही थी, पड़ रहा था, हुए थे, वाला था आदि शब्द आते है |

Formula-

You/We/They + were + Action + ing + Object

I/He/She/Any name + was + Action + ing + Object

Past Continuous Tense Example-

शिवम् वोट दे रहा था \|	Shivam was casting the vote.
राधिका राम को नोट्स दे रही थी \|	Radhika was giving notes to Ram.
छात्र प्रोजेक्ट बना रहे थे \|	Students were making project.
मैच चल रहा था \|	Match was going on.
रीना खाना बना रही थी \|	Reena was making the food.
वे शतरंज खेल रहे थे \|	They were playing chess.
वह घर का काम कर रहा था \|	He was doing household chores.
वह रेलगाड़ी में सो रही थी \|	She was sleeping in train.
मैं अंग्रेजी पढ़ रहा था \|	I was learning English.
बच्चे मजाक कर रहे थे \|	Children were making fun.
आप आ रहे थे \|	You were coming.
Interrogative (प्रश्नवाचक)
क्या छात्र परीक्षा में बात कर रहे थे?	Were students talking in exam?
क्या रीता खाना परोस रही थी?	Was Rita serving the food?
क्या तुम पिकनिक जा रहे थे?	Were you going on picnic?
क्या वे क्रिकेट खेल रहे थे?	Were they playing cricket?
क्या वह घर के काम कर रहा था?	Was he doing domestic chores?
